TU Austria Research Design Seminar Initiative

Dear researchers,

Techno-Economics is a scientific discipline anchored within TU Austria, which on the one hand is dedicated to relevant research questions oriented towards entrepreneurial practice and on the other hand is committed to rigorously answering questions and to the scientific knowledge gained in this way in a national and international environment.

In order to realise this claim, the Techno-Economic Forum - consisting of the techno-economic chairs of the TU Vienna, the MU Leoben and the TU Graz - relies on a multi-layered, well-founded research method education and further training of its active doctoral students. Since 2017, the ‘Inter-University Research Seminar Series’ has been held in cooperation with the EPIEM (European Professors of Industrial Engineering and Management) – an organisation with which the Austrian Association of Industrial Engineers – WING has been actively involved and connected from the very beginning.

The method seminars, which usually last two days, are held by international professors and offer not only technical method input for doctoral students but also the unique opportunity to network beyond the Austrian techno-economic community.
