INI Award: Innovation and sustainability in engineering

The Austrian Association of Engineers and Architects (ÖIAV) and the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV) are jointly presenting the INI Award for the first time, which is supported by TU Austria.

The aim of the award is to promote young people in the STEM professions. In principle, applications are open to all educational pathways (UNI, FH, HTL etc.). This is in line with the OIAV's objective of promoting all educational paths for architecture, engineering and natural sciences in the same way. A prize for architecture was awarded in 2022 and a prize for the natural sciences is planned for 2024.

Prizes are awarded for scientific and pre-scientific work that provides impetus for the future of Austria as a business location. Work that has been produced in the course of training young experts using scientific methods and has found its way into innovative products or services even without publication is therefore also eligible.
