Future Prize 2018 “Digitalization in production”

TU Austria at the INDTECH 2018 in Vienna

As part of the Austrian Council Presidency, the conference “INDustrial TECHnologies 2018 - innovative industries for smart growth” (INDTECH 2018) took place at the Messe Congress Center Vienna on October 30 and 31, 2018. TU Austria had a strong presence in the “Austrian Village”, which was organized together with NanoNet-AT, Photonik-AT, Industry 4.0, SmartTextiles, GMAR, ÖWGP, AM-Austria, ECSEL, BioNanoNet and thus by the central national platforms in the field of industrial technologies.

The 1st Future Prize of the Austrian Scientific Society for Production Engineering (Ö-WGP) on the topic of “Digitalization in Production” was also awarded in cooperation with WGP-Germany and TU Austria in this worthy setting. This future prize is awarded to research projects that are based on sound fundamental research and have implemented the resulting findings with measurable success. The project by Alois Ferscha (JKU) with the promising name “Attentive Machines” was awarded as the best digitization project in Austria in the field of production.
