TU Austria Summer School Doc+ 2025
For the eighth time, the successful cooperation project, TU Austria Summer School Doc+, took place. At the beginning of July, 15 dedicated PhD students from the TU Austria universities (TU Wien, Montanuniversität Leoben, TU Graz) gathered at TU Graz for a week of learning, exchanging ideas, networking, and acquiring new skills. This year’s Summer School once again focused on the topic of project management, which is of central importance for young researchers.
Focus: Project Management
Project management skills are indispensable for researchers today, as they are often involved in various research projects as part of their daily work. The TU Austria Summer School Doc+ 2025 was therefore dedicated to this important topic. Under the guidance of the experienced trainer Mag. Caroline Rotter, the participants developed in-depth knowledge in the management of (research) projects. The intensive program, conducted in English, provided the PhD students with the opportunity to enhance their skills and gain valuable insights into the practice of project management.
Valuable Exchange of Information and Experiences
A special highlight of the week was the fireside chat with the Rector of TU Graz, Horst Bischof, which gave participants the opportunity to engage with a leading figure in academia and management. Additionally, various team-building activities at the beginning of the week strengthened collaboration and team spirit among the group. The Summer School thus offered not only professional development but also a platform for personal and professional exchange.
A Great Success
After an intensive and exciting week, the 15 participants received their certificates. The Summer School not only provided an opportunity to acquire valuable project management skills but also allowed participants to get to know each other better, exchange experiences, and build a strong network. The combination of professional development and personal interaction made the week a great success and highlights the importance of such cooperation projects for the professional and personal growth of the participants.
